The course did not finish up being sufficiently animating for his courageous cerebrum cells, so he chose to drop out after his first year of school. Amid this time, Nickelodeon was leaving the business in Medicine Hat and Salim figured out how to get it. The business before long ventured into Calgary and by 1986, Salim opened 27 Nickelodeons in western Canada.

In 1983, Salim became the first Ismaili to Go Public in Canada.
